Winter 2022

Message From President Lettiere

These last two years have been like none other in recent memory. They have taught me to be patient, grateful and to plow ahead no matter the challenges that arise. When I consider the way the Immaculata community has faced the challenges presented by COVID-19 and not just survived, but thrived, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and pride.

This past October, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of Immaculata University. And what a celebration it was! It was worth the 101-year wait. The most enjoyable part of the weekend for me was having an opportunity to see so many alumni and friends of the university enjoying a most spectacular, memorable evening. If you were not able to attend, you can read all about the centennial in this issue of the Immaculata Magazine.

As the spring semester gets underway, it’s exciting to see the progress on the Parsons Science Pavilion construction, which is on schedule despite some supply chain issues. I am also pleased to report a healthy enrollment, and dorms filled with students, While we are not fully operating in “normal” mode, many of the pre-COVID-19 events and activities are taking place. It was so fantastic to celebrate our campus’ oldest and most cherished tradition—Carol Night.

My hope for you in 2022 is health, happiness, and hope for the future. Stay well and stay connected to Immaculata University. It only gets better!
