On February 6, Immaculata University’s clubs and organizations came together for a mocktail competition to celebrate Blue & White Week 2024. Each group made a mocktail inspired by their club/organization, and the students and faculty on campus got to taste them. Certain faculty members tasted and judged the concoctions based on characteristics such as taste and creativity. Here’s a guide to the fun mocktails students and faculty got to enjoy during the event. Congratulations to all of the clubs and organizations on their amazing drinks!
Cogwell– 2nd place!
“The Cogwellian”, Cogwell’s featured drink, was made to represent calmness and resilience in the stressful waters of college. The drink’s blue coloring and ocean-themed decoration helped create an oceanic feeling, reminding IU to “just keep swimming”!
- Blue Hawaiian Punch
- Sprite
- Icing & sprinkles (for the rim)
Cue and Curtain
“Sea Breeze” is inspired by this semester’s spring musical, “Anything Goes”!
Delti Pi
Immaculata’s Delta Pi fraternity featured two different delicious drinks at the mocktail competition! The Brotherly Blue and the Mighty Oak represented Immaculata’s only fraternity.
IU For the Kids
IU for the Kids, Immaculata’s chapter of the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, supported Andrew through the “Andrew’s Charm” mocktail. The foundation raises money for childhood cancer and spreads awareness across our campus and its clubs and organizations.
IU Stem Club
In addition to coordinating related activities for IU students with a passion for STEM, the IU Stem Club put together a mocktail version of a classic Tequila Sunrise for their drink!
- Orange juice
- Grenadine
Psychology Club– 3rd place!
In honor of “Inside Out 2” coming to theaters this June, the Psychology Club decided to create a mocktail based on Riley’s new emotion, Anxiety! While the emotion is far from fun, the animated movie’s version is an adorable way of destigmatizing anxiety.
- Orange soda
- Cranberry juice
- Lime juice
SGA Class of 2024
While getting ready to graduate, the current senior class’s Student Government Association found the time to mix up a Virgin White Russian for the mocktail competition!
- Black iced coffee
- Vanilla soda
- Creamer
- Chocolate syrup (optional)
⭑ served over ice!
SGA Executive Board
The executive board of the Student Government Association brought “The Stick Drift” mocktail to the table for the competition! Plenty of event attendees were amused by the non-alcoholic Heinken beer served in mini Solo cups.
Student Nursing Association- 1st place!
Immaculata’s very own future nurses reminded the campus that “Nurses Call the Shots” with their very fun mocktail! Everybody got to help make their drink in a fun way with syringes used to add the grenadine to the drink.
- Sprite
- Grenadine
